Are You Making These Mistakes in Your Beauty Business?

Can I be honest with you for a second?

I speak to beauty business owners every single week & SO many are making these mistakes..

Women who are talented, committed and genuinely passionate about what they do!

And again and again I see the same mistakes coming up.

The hardest part is that most of them do not even realise they are making them.

So today I want to talk about the three most common ones.

Because if any of these land with you, fixing even one of them could genuinely shift something in your business this week.

MISTAKE ONE: Pricing From Fear Instead of From Value

This one breaks my heart every time I see it.

And I see it constantly.

Here is how it usually goes...

You set your prices by looking at what everyone else in your area is charging.

You pick something that feels about right.

Maybe you go a little lower because you are worried about losing clients, or because you do not feel established enough yet to charge more.

And then you wonder why you are working every hour you have and still not making the money you deserve.

When your prices are built on anxiety rather than value, you attract clients who are shopping purely on price.

You undervalue your skills, your experience and your time.

And you build a business that keeps you busy without ever getting you properly ahead.

Your prices need to be built on what it actually costs you to run your business, what your time is genuinely worth and the value of the result you deliver.

NOT on what you think people will pay.

On you, your worth and your business.

MISTAKE TWO: Talking to Everyone Instead of Someone

Specific Posts that are so broad, so general, so aimed at absolutely everyone, that they end up landing with nobody.

If your content could apply to any beauty business owner anywhere, it will not make any single person feel like it was written specifically for her.

And that feeling of being truly seen and understood is what makes someone stop scrolling, save your post, share it with a friend or slide into your DMs.

The most powerful thing you can do in your marketing is get so specific about who you are talking to that the right person reads it and thinks, this was written for me.

That means knowing your ideal client properly.

Not just her job or her age.

What she wants to acheive.

How she wants to feel.

What is important to her.

What stops her from booking.

When you know that, your content changes.

Your messaging changes.

The clients you attract change.

And the business you build changes!

MISTAKE THREE: Waiting to Feel Ready Before You Show Up

Waiting until the website looks perfect.

Waiting until you have more followers.

Waiting until you feel more confident before you put yourself out there.

Ready does not come before you show up.

It comes BECAUSE you showed up.

Confidence is not something you feel and then act on.

It is something that builds through action.

Every post you put out before you feel ready, every time you back yourself before the results have arrived, that is what creates the version of you that is fully booked and genuinely thriving.

I started my mentoring business without a big following, without a long list of case studies and without feeling remotely ready.

Every time I showed up before I felt like I had earned the right to, that is what built it.

STOP waiting.

The people who need what you offer cannot find you yet.

SO WHAT NOW?

Three mistakes...

Pricing from fear, talking to everyone and waiting to feel ready.

None of them are your fault.

Nobody teaches beauty professionals the business side of what they do.

But all three are completely fixable.

If you want help working through any of these properly, that is exactly what I do inside my Power Hour calls and my six week one to one mentoring programme.

Drop me an email at Kayleigh@nextlevelbeautyacademy.co.uk with the word MENTOR or POWER and let us talk about what would help you most right now.

Because you work too hard to keep making mistakes that are this fixable!
